“To God be the glory for the great things He has done.”
As we reflect on the month of July, our hearts are filled with gratitude for God’s incredible faithfulness. Through the partnership of Foundations for Hope, Agape Fellowship Center, and the dedicated mission team from Life in Christ, we witnessed lives transformed, communities served, and the Gospel advancing across East Africa.
July Mission Impact
This month our mission teams served in the villages of Sess and Lokwaloy, where the Gospel was boldly proclaimed alongside life changing medical care. In Sess, led by Pastor Samuel, 312 people surrendered their lives to Christ, 745 individuals received medical treatment, and 14 believers publicly declared their faith through baptism. In Lokwaloy, led by Pastor Joseph, 564 people accepted Christ, 918 people were treated through our medical clinic, and 95 believers were baptized. Together, God accomplished something truly incredible. Across both villages, 878 people gave their lives to Christ, 1,663 people received medical care, and 109 people took the next step in their faith through baptism. Every one of these numbers represents a person created in the image of God whose life has been forever impacted by the hope of Jesus Christ. To Him alone belongs all the glory, honor, and praise.

The impact did not end there! This month, two churches and two community boreholes were officially launched in Sess and Lokwaloy. These churches will continue discipling new believers and serving as beacons of hope within their communities, while the new boreholes will provide families with access to clean, safe water for years to come. It is a beautiful picture of the mission the Lord called us to, meeting both physical and spiritual needs while equipping local churches to continue the work long after our teams return home.
Life Change on Mission
One of the greatest blessings from every mission trip is witnessing how God works not only in the lives of those we serve, but also in the hearts of those who choose to go.
A few days into the trip, our team divided into smaller groups to go door to door, sharing the Gospel throughout the villages. These evangelism teams are one of our favorite parts of every mission because they intentionally combine Foundations for Hope team members from the United States, our East African staff, and local church partners.
Several years ago, one of our team members simply said “yes” to serving on a Foundations for Hope mission trip. That one act of obedience sparked something much greater than anyone could have imagined. This July, his wife, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law all found themselves serving together in Kenya.
During one afternoon of door to door evangelism, the mother-in-law, a faithful believer who had walked with the Lord for many years, felt prompted to share the message of salvation with a family. Although she loved the Lord deeply, she hesitated, feeling unsure if she was the right person to speak, because she had never done so before. After wrestling with that hesitation, she simply chose to say “yes” to God’s leading. She faithfully shared the Gospel, and someone accepted Christ that very day.
It is a beautiful reminder that God is not looking for perfect people, He is looking for willing hearts. Regardless of our age, how long we have followed Christ, or how many years we have spent in church, our obedience creates opportunities for God to change lives. Every simple “yes” has the potential to echo into eternity.

Looking Ahead
As we look toward the months ahead, we are filled with anticipation for what God will continue to do. On August 23, another Foundations for Hope team will travel to Kenya for a week of medical outreach, church planting, evangelism, and the dedication of a new community borehole. Closer to home, we’re excited to announce that registration is now open for our annual Foundations for Hope 5Ks in Trussville, Alabama, and Lexington, Kentucky this October! Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or sponsor the event, every participant helps bring clean water, medical care, and the hope of Jesus Christ to communities across East Africa. Visit our website for more information or to register! We invite you to join us in praying, participating, and continuing to be part of the incredible work God is doing through Foundations for Hope.
Blessings,
F4H Team
