February Newsletter

As February comes to a close at Foundations for Hope, we are hard at work and excited, for the advancement of the Kingdom that we have witnessed already this year. The new staff at Jesus Harvesters Agape Bible College, is on site and busy with preparations for the first class of students who will arrive in May. The process of completing the acceptance of students is ongoing, and nearly complete. While the Bible College is gearing up for students, the campus and staff are currently hosting a team of missionaries from the United States. This is the second mission team of the year, and is comprised of 23 missionaries from Alabama and Kentucky. The team is commissioned with the work of spreading the love and good news of Jesus, to two different communities at once! On their ten day trip, the team will work alongside team members from Agape Fellowship Center, to serve the communities of Lomajanita and Namusia.

The villages of Lomajanita and Namusia are located just across the Kenyan border, in Uganda. These villages are in desperate need of not only resources critical to health and survival, but also the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ. The mission team will work in the two villages simultaneously throughout the week, providing each community medical care through a medical mission, where they will not only be treated medically, but will also receive prayer. In addition to the medical mission, the teams will complete and dedicate a fresh water well, changing the quality of life and health, for these communities going forward. Last, but certainly not least, a church has been built, and will be dedicated, in each community.  This has been a lot to have accomplish during their time there, but we serve a God who can do more than we can imagine.

As the team serves in the areas of medicine, water, and the provision of a church, daily community outreach is happening. The teams lead community worship and prayer, along with a Gospel message each day. In addition, hut to hut visits are made, and there too, the love of Jesus is being shown, and His truth is being shared.

Only three days into the mission, and we have already recorded 1,800 people that have been treated through the medical tents, and over 500 salvation decisions! We are rejoicing with all of heaven that these children of God are experiencing new life, and life abundant. This work will not only bring immediate and eternal impact to these communities, but will change these communities for generations. We want to thank Life in Christ Church, for their obedience to God’s call to go, and their generosity in sponsoring two villages, which makes this week possible. Here are just a few images from this week.

The team will return home on March 5th, and we ask that you pray for their work and travel. We cannot wait to provide you complete details on this trip next month. We know that at that time, heaven will be a bigger place, and men, women, and children, will not only know what it means to have better health, basic needs, and community, but to have the hope of eternal salvation. Thank you for your continued support, it makes weeks like this one possible.

Blessings,

F4H Team
