Spring is upon us with all the hope and life that comes in this season. We are excited to share with you this month, how we are seeing life come to individuals and communities, through Jesus Christ.
Our mission team returned, the first of March, after spending ten days working alongside our F4H East Africa Team, and our partners at Agape Fellowship Center, planting two churches, providing medical care, and opening two wells in Uganda. This was our first attempt to work in two villages simultaneously, and we saw the Holy Spirit answer prayers throughout our time in country. Through these efforts, the medical team treated 2,982 people, and through the week of hut to hut visits, community outreach, and personal prayer in the prayer tent, we had 817 documented salvations!
We want to thank Life in Christ Church, for their generosity and passion, for doing the work of the great commission. Through their generosity, the Gospel of Jesus, fresh water, medical care, and a permanent church, was brought to the villages of Lomajanita and Namusia. Their financial support and willingness to go, has made an eternal impact for the Kingdom of God, both in East Africa, as well as here in the US. Amanda, a member of Life in Christ, who joined us on the trip, shared:
“This was my first ever mission trip. Having the opportunity to serve, and be the hands and feet of Jesus, with my Church family and F4H family. This has been an amazing experience. We witnessed God working in mighty ways, from salvations, to blind eyes being opened, and countless other miracles. Through all of that, God stretched me, took me out of my comfort zone, and I have grown closer to God. I am forever grateful for my experience”.
We are grateful to all who went! Speaking of salvations, we are seeing life change and salvation, not just through mission trips, but though the day-to-day efforts that are ongoing. A great example of these efforts is the Discipleship Program, led by Steven Mukongolo. The DMM Program, has reported four salvations this week alone! Through the ongoing efforts of this program, we are seeing local churches who were shrinking, now beginning to thrive, and people who were not previously attending church, now in Bible study groups. Leaders are also being trained through these efforts, with two ongoing Trainer to Trainer Classes. These efforts are training discipleship leaders, therefore multiplying efforts to reach the lost. One of the greatest needs in this effort is the provision of Bibles. A bible can be provided to a new believer for only $8.00!
