We are excited to announce that registration is now open for both 2025 Foundations for Hope 5K’s, and we cannot wait to see you in Lexington and Trussville!
Our First Annual F4H-5K, in Lexington Kentucky, will be held Saturday, September 20th, at the Kentucky Horse Park. This beautiful venue will allow runners to complete a timed, 5K course, while seeing the scenic horse park. We are grateful to Gray Construction for hosting this event and helping us to expand what God is doing through Foundations for Hope.Â
We will hold our Fourth Annual F4H-5K, in Trussville, Alabama, on Saturday, October 25th, at the Trussville Entertainment District.  If you have been a part of this event in the past, we can’t wait to see you again. If you have never had the chance to join us, make plans this year to be a part of this awesome community event, while impacting eternity.
Both races will support all that God is doing through Foundations for Hope, and the local church. We advance the Gospel with your support, by empowering the local church, investing in individuals, providing critical resources, and equipping Christian leaders. This means that through your efforts, we will partner with the local church to bring communities clean water and medicine, and within those communities, churches will be built, discipleship groups will be launched, and pastors will be trained. We believe generations will be changed by the love of God, and what we can do together but, we need your help. This event is a fun way to spend a Saturday morning with friends and family. All ages are welcome. Come walk, run, or relay, while making a difference.
Race day will include:
- Run/Walk 5K Event
- Participant t-shirt and finisher medal
- Face painting and activity area for kidsÂ
- Door prizes from local businesses
- Music
- Special category trophies including: Overall winners, relay winners, stroller division.

July Mission Trip
A team from First Baptist Opelika will join us on a trip to Kenya, July 14th through 23rd. Together, we will explore sustainability projects to support the current and future Bible Colleges, as well as future villages. We will also have the honor of participating in the Jesus Harvesters Agape Bible College dedication. Please be in prayer for the teams travel and time in country. We can not wait to update you in next months newsletter.Â
