The 2025 Pastors Retreat is in the books, and we are proud to announce that from the reports received, it was a tremendous success! During the four-day retreat, 116 delegates gathered from 63 Agape churches throughout Kenya and Tanzania. This year’s theme was “Growing the Local Church”, with Bishop Achanga, teaching from the example of the early church and it’s ability to grow both spiritually and numerically. Bishop Evans Achanga, along with other leadership, was able to speak on topics regarding church organization and growth, as well as topics to build and encourage leaders personally. The time spent together learning, praying, and looking to the future, was time invested in equipping these leaders, but will continue to produce fruit as they invest in individuals within their communities and church bodies.

Not only did pastors gather this month, but the Women Weep Not Conference, was hosted this month, by Agape Fellowship. The inspiration behind this conference comes from Luke 7:13, which says, “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, “Weep not””. During this conference, around one thousand women were ministered to, many of them widows. As the women gathered, they were encouraged and served through God’s truth, prayer, and fellowship. Many widows were gifted with the tangible gift of a goat, during the conference, allowing them to better feed and provide for their families. Mellen Achanga, wife of Bishop Evans Achanga, who hosted this event, asked that we share the following statement from her,

“I thank friends who have ever supported this great lady’s ministry, Women Weep Not. In prayers and financial support to ensure that the meeting was successful. Thank you and God Bless”

Lives were changed through spiritual and physical needs that were met during these meetings, and we too, are grateful to all who have supported this ministry.

This week, our first class of 48 students is arriving at the Jesus Harvesters Agape Bible College! This is a miracle and answer to so many prayers. As JHABC receives students, we ask that you pray for the staff and students that are beginning class. We can not wait to bring you pictures and testimonies from campus in next month’s newsletter!

Speaking of students, the College Mission Trip will be May 22nd, through June 2nd. Twenty-six students and leaders will be traveling to Kenya, to serve not only the new students at the JHA Bible College, but also serve at an Agape Church location in Kiminini. Our mission team, from First Baptist Church Trussville, will also complete service projects throughout the community and surrounding areas. In all these service opportunities, not only will physical needs be met, but the Truth and Good News of Jesus will be shared! We know that not only will these students change lives during their time in Kenya, but that they themselves will never be the same.

We pray you have a great month ahead. Thank you for continuing to partner with us, God is moving in amazing ways!

Blessings,

F4H Team
