April Newsletter

This month, Foundations for Hope was privileged to sponsor the 2024 Agape Fellowship Pastors Retreat. During this three-day retreat, 203 Agape pastors and their spouses, from across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, were served. This retreat provided a time for team building, looking forward to what God has planned, and imparting God’s Word. Time was also set aside to recharge and refresh with fellowship, worship, and prayer. We believe in the importance of strong healthy leadership, and we are grateful to help these leaders gather to strengthen and equip one another.

In April our F4H East Africa Team launched Discipleship Groups in the villages of Apriki and Namusia, Kenya. These groups will build community and use God’s Word to create a strong foundation for churches to be launched. In August, a team from the US will travel to Apriki, to build a physical church building, provide medical care, and dedicate a clean water well. By building the church as a community and investing in individuals first, our prayer is that the physical church building will be filled with a thriving community of believers.

Equipping Christian Leaders

Construction of the Bible College continues to progress with roofs beginning on the administration building, library, lecture halls, and lecture housing. Substructure work has begun on the principal’s house, kitchen, dining areas, chapel, and church. The water tower that will provide for the needs of the property has also been completed. The tower stands 15 meters tall and will hold approximately 25,000 liters of water. This water is already being used for the new garden, where crops have been planted, and will be harvested to feed the first class of pastors in January. As we look at the area where the ground has been tilled and seeds expectantly placed for a harvest, we can’t help but see the same tilling, planting, and promise of a spiritual harvest, in every footing that has been dug, and stone that has been laid, on this property.

Construction is not the only thing moving forward at the Bible College, Abel Nyapinda Opunga, has accepted the position of Principal of the Bible College. We believe his education, experience, and leadership, will be an asset to many future leaders. We look forward to introducing him to you in next month’s newsletter.

Thank you for your continued support of this work. May God bless you this upcoming month.

Blessings,

F4H Team
